丹尼爾雷德克里夫自從演出《哈利波特》後，許久未有新作，一直試圖在劇本與角色上轉形的他，終於有了重大突破，這次在驚悚新片《魔角》中，飾演一位殺害女友的嫌疑犯，並且與魔鬼做了交涉。
被國際媒體評為「今年最奇幻驚悚電影」的《魔角》，改編自恐怖大師史蒂芬金之子的知名小說，故事本身有著許多對聖經寓意諷刺的意味，但作者運用了黑色幽默的手法，透過超自然現象和撒旦禁忌，帶出了反諷現代社會與人心的主題。
